Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS)

On January 13, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day, to remember the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion-on-demand in all 50 states. Churches around the country continue to unite on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS) to mourn the tens of millions lives lost since Roe v. Wade and commit to standing for God's gift of life!

We recognize that SOHLS is not a happy occasion for everyone, as it serves as a reminder that we have all been touched in some degree by abortion. For those who have had an abortion or been involved in the process of procuring an abortion, this time can be especially difficult. Thankfully, God offers forgiveness and healing for ALL of our sins, including abortion!
